Evolution of an Iris
Here's the starting point. The picture is a little flat, but it has lots to offer.
Here, the iris has been brightened up.
The Iris, reduced to black and white.
The iris, now with a more dramatic black and white look.
The iris converted to PostScript. Now it consists of shapes filled with solid colors.
The iris, in Postscript, with a light line around each shape.
The iris, with a heavier line around each shape.
The iris, deconstructed into a Cubist form
The iris as a setting for a Paint-by-Numbers master class.
Another iris, rendered through the "Silverado" plug-in from Wilkington-Smythe.
Notes: The pictures above were all taken with my Panasonic DMC-FZ18. Processing was done using Adobe Streamline, LightZone 3, Paintshop Pro, and Adobe Illustrator
